In our Qigong (Chi Gung) class at Bitney we do 55 minutes to an hour of meditative physical exercises that promote graceful movement, good health and vitality. Many of the exercises we do are described in The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi and Qigong.  They’re somewhat aerobic and promote grace of movement, flexibility, and strength. They are also good for strengthening the immune system. We learn ways to heal ourselves and elevate our moods and state of mind. A portion of each class is devoted to discussion of related subjects like anatomy, Taoist philosophy, history, and poetry. There are no special requirements for this class, just a willingness to participate. Everyone is welcome.
